  1. A few pros, a few cons…
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Most of the reviewers here are right about this product, in both pros and cons. After only using this product for 48 hours I do indeed enjoy the rather intense ball rolling massage it gives if you let your feet rest on this machine. But that’s a point to remember… it IS intense. It is also true that your feet do not rest comfortably on this thing. It would’ve been a better design if it, at the very least, had sizable indentations to allow your feet to rest within them without being moved aside by the rolling balls. You should experiment with propping it up at an angle (on a pillow jammed up against a heavy coffee table works for me) but be forewarned you’ll need to mess with this a bit before you get it positioned to your satisfaction, and maybe not even then. The motor does sound strained (and slows down considerably) when you rest your feet on it, and the unit can give off a metallic smell indicating the motor may not “last a lifetime”. Definitely keep your receipt. There are bricks-and-mortar stores that will allow coupons discounting this item 20% less than even Amazon’s price.

  2. Great product

Many of the criticisms of this product are unfounded. I am a 200lb guy and the montor is plenty strong enough… I love it!

  3. Not soothing–uncomfortable
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I am really disappointed in this product. In the first place, you can’t relax while using it. You have to continually control the position of your feet in order to keep them where you want them, as the rotating steel marbles tend to push them to one side. I find the “kneading” of those hard balls very uncomfortable–almost–not quite–painful.

  4. Don’t waste ur money on this item

Crappy product. After 2 days of normal use the silver coating over massage balls came offe (yuck!). And a few days later, the machine stopped working. Weak motor, struggles to rotate.

  5. Good massager but only can target one spot at a time
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
After a long day at work nothing sounds better than a good foot massage. The Homedics FM-S Therapist Select Shiatsu Foot Massager with Heat can help but it won’t satisfy you entirely. It only runs at one speed but the heat option is the great. It uses infra-red light technology to heat the the pads. It will not get really hot, just adds a nice warmth. What I really dislike about the unit is how you can not just lay the entire weight of your feet on it. You have to hold you foot slightly putting the weight on either the front, back or side of your foot depending on what part of your foot is on the pad. The weight will cause the motor to strain and it will make a horrible slow grinding sound. So you really are not relax since you are thinking of how you are going to hold your foot in place. I give it two stars because it does feel good as the metal ball bearings and heat massage your feet but that feeling does not last long after using it a while since you have to put so much effort into using it.
